What this is

Checkmate by enhypen.

The title and artist above are the ones TikTok stored for this sound, and the link goes to that sound on TikTok. We have not matched them to a music catalogue, so we publish no release date and no catalogue identifier, and we do not claim this is the same recording as any particular release.

What we measured

In the 300 most recent public TikTok videos we reviewed on 28 August 2026, we counted 277 different accounts and 1,385,691 combined views at the time we looked.

One account, @aus.jake, accounted for about 43.5% of the views in that sample, so the total is not spread evenly.

These figures describe that one dated sample, not the sound's total use. We do not know from a single sample whether use of this sound is rising or falling, and we do not say that it is.

• Do: Include a text overlay with your favorite lyric
• Do: Use a fast-cut style for the chorus
• Avoid: Don't use slow-motion for the chorus; keep the energy high
• Avoid: Don't hide the members' faces in edits
