What this is

someone to you by macytoddd.

The title and artist above are the ones TikTok stored for this sound, and the link goes to that sound on TikTok. We have not matched them to a music catalogue, so we publish no release date and no catalogue identifier, and we do not claim this is the same recording as any particular release.

What we measured

In the 135 most recent public TikTok videos we reviewed on 25 July 2026, we counted 71 different accounts and 2,118,236 combined views at the time we looked.

These figures describe that one dated sample, not the sound's total use. We do not know from a single sample whether use of this sound is rising or falling, and we do not say that it is.

Creative direction

Use the track to show a 'then vs now' transition or a deep-dive edit of your favorite fictional couple.

Looks like a fit for: Editors and aesthetic creators

• Do: Sync the lyric 'I was someone' to a transition
• Do: Use high-quality, slow-motion clips
• Do: Keep text overlays minimal and aesthetic
• Do: Use the first 15 seconds for maximum impact
• Avoid: Don't use loud background noise
• Avoid: Don't cut the audio before the chorus
• Avoid: Don't use low-res, blurry footage
