What this is

WannaCry by ninajirachi & Porter Robinson.

The title and artist above are the ones TikTok stored for this sound, and the link goes to that sound on TikTok. We have not matched them to a music catalogue, so we publish no release date and no catalogue identifier, and we do not claim this is the same recording as any particular release.

What we measured

In the 299 most recent public TikTok videos we reviewed on 28 July 2026, we counted 120 different accounts and 2,466,038 combined views at the time we looked.

One account, @dfkmuk, accounted for about 49.3% of the views in that sample, so the total is not spread evenly.

These figures describe that one dated sample, not the sound's total use. We do not know from a single sample whether use of this sound is rising or falling, and we do not say that it is.

Creative direction

Focus on frame-perfect syncs and high-energy visual transitions.

Looks like a fit for: Anime and gaming editors

• Do: Sync the first beat drop to a character's power-up or a kill shot.
• Do: Use high-quality 1080p/4k source footage for anime or gaming clips.
• Do: Include a text overlay with the character name or show title.
• Do: Use the 0:14-0:30 segment for the most impactful edit transitions.
• Avoid: Don't use low-resolution or blurry screen recordings.
• Avoid: Don't let the audio play without a visual cut for more than 2 seconds.
• Avoid: Don't ignore the lyrics; try to match the 'bittersweet' vibe with character expressions.
